Few experiences in life can transform you as much as travel. I’m just back from Dubai, United Arab Emirates where it struck me that this is why I’ve missed—even craved— international travel for the last two years.
A transformation can occur when you board a plane in one country and land in another if you’re open to it. You broaden your perspectives. You gain empathy and understanding of other cultures. You explore not just places, but also hidden parts of others and yourself. Travel isn’t just a business obligation. It can and should be a time for transformative experience sin your leadership influence journey.
On a personal note, my daughter and I had fun meeting up with my coaching colleagues and mentors Marshall Goldsmith and Mark Thompson for a day in Dubai! And we got to experience #expo2020— an event also delayed by two years.
